Fees and Payment Information

Paying for Treatment at the CTSA

There is a standard fee for the initial clinical assessment, which is necessary before being paired with a center therapist. A separate weekly charge applies for treatment sessions, and this will vary based on the length of the session and the type of therapist. Patients are billed directly for treatment at an hourly rate. While these fees are generally reimbursable through many insurance plans, please call your insurance provider to find out if your plan reimburses for out-of-network services.

The CTSA does not accept any insurance plans, except a few of those offered to employees of the University of Pennsylvania (Penn Care and Keystone POS), and the Penn student health insurance plan (Aetna Chickering). We do not participate in Medicare or Medicaid. We do accept payments for Worker's Compensation cases.

If your insurance will not cover the cost of treatment or if you are uninsured, low cost treatment options are available with our graduate therapists. Assessment and treatment for research programs is free of charge. Contact the center for more information.
